Cameron Green in, Kieron Pollard released; no Bumrah: Complete list of changes in Mumbai Indians for IPL 2023

Mumbai Indians underwent several major changes ahead of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While the likes of Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made a few tweaks here and there in their squad, the likes of Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings went through an overhaul while retaining a few of their core players. The five-time champions finished last on the points table in the 10-team tournament in 2022 and needed to address a few issues at the 2023 IPL player auction.

While the Mumbai side did retain 15 players, they let go of some of the key players, including the biggest of them all, Kieron Pollard. Pollard has been associated with MI since 2010 and has been synonymous with the franchise for 13 years. Pollard was crucial to MI’s five title wins but after a poor season in 2022, the MI decided to let go of him. Pollard, on the other hand, decided to retire from the T20 league and will be with the franchise as a batting coach from this year onwards.

Let’s take a look at the full list of changes in MI’s squad:
