Golf World Reacts To Paige Spiranac’s Message For PGA Tour Star
Paige Spiranac has been watching the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play very closely today, but she just saw something that made her feel sick.
During today’s match between Will Zalatoris and Andrew Putnam, Zalatoris had the ball positioned only a few feet away from the hole. But on his putt he ripped the ball well past the hole and reached out to grab it with his club before conceding the hole to Putnam.
Spiranac saw the viral video of his awful putt and took to Twitter with a simple message: “This made me gag,” she wrote.
Golf fans got quite a laugh out of that comment – and not just because of the way she phrased it. Some took to the comments lamenting how awful Zalatoris must feel while others think it’s a sign that Zalatoris needs some serious help:
Will Zalatoris has been one of the rising stars on the golf scene since the 2020 U.S. Open. He has finished in the top 10 in six of his last nine appearances at the majors, including back-to-back top 10 finishes at both the Masters and the PGA Championship.
Zalatoris came within one stroke of winning the PGA Championship last year, but lost to Justin Thomas in the playoff.
Today’s performance wasn’t the kind of showing that Zalatoris wanted with the Masters only a few weeks away.
Can Zalatoris recover from today’s awful outing?
