ATP announces return of Chinese events for the 2024 season
The 2024 ATP Tour season calendar has been announced, with 63 tournaments set to take place across 29 countries.
The 2024 season will see the calendar adjusted to accommodate the summer Olympics in Paris.
China has been restored to the ATP Tour calendar with the ATP 250 events in Chengdu and Zhuhai kicking off the swing, followed by the ATP 500 China Open in Beijing and culminating with the return of the ninth Masters event in Shanghai.
The ATP have also brought together two Mexican events with Los Cabos moved from July to February as part of changes to make way for the Paris Olympics events.
The Kremlin Cup in Moscow remains suspended from the schedule.

The Sydney leg of the Australian Open season could be in doubt, with the venue yet to be confirmed for the first ATP 250 tournament of the year.
Banja Luka’s 16th week slot in April is currently vacant with a decision expected closer to the time.
There will be a total of five 12-day ATP Masters 1000 tournaments in 2024 at Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Rome and Shanghai.
The second edition of the ground-breaking mixed team event the United Cup, will start the season again, and is once again held in partnership with the WTA and Tennis Australia.
Guadenzi hopes that the ATP Tour can continue to attract new fans.
“We have over a billion fans and we under value, under monetise,” Gaudenzi said in a discussion regarding ATP’s vision for the sport.
“Tennis has a huge competitive advantage because we are global.
He would add: “We have a very strong men’s and women’s product and I think we are in a very, very good position to attract a new generation.”
