Nabeul: launch of European Committee for Training -funded climate change resilience project

(TAP)- The launch of a climate change resilience and adaptation and sustainable management of natural resources project in Nabeul, Jendouba, Mahdia and Bizerte was announced Thursday in Nabeul.

The European Committee for Training and Agriculture (CEFA) is in charge of implementing this three-year project, in partnership mainly with ICU – Italy’s Institute for University Cooperation- and the Tunisian Organisation of Environment Rights.

The project, funded by the the Italian Cooperation Agency, seeks to build the capacities of civil society and local authorities in addressing climate change challenges through a better management of natural resources, Project Coordinator Siwar Ben Sassi told TAP.

The project provides for training as well as technical and financial support for recipient sustainable development and environment protection projects.

The European Committee for Training and Agriculture has been operating in Tunisia since 2012. It is an Italian non-governmental organisation committed to cooperation and international solidarity.
