The difference between regular coffee and decaffeinated coffee is often described as regular coffee has caffeine and the other does not. But this is not accurate. Decaffeinated coffee does contain caffeine, just not much. The main difference between the two is that decaffeinated coffee has had 97% of the caffeine extracted.

Regular coffee contains natural caffeine, which is the stimulating substance that makes up feel energised. Decaffeinated coffee goes through a process where the caffeine is removed, making it completely void of caffeine .

The difference is the presence of caffeine, some methods use chemicals and end up affecting the aroma and flavor of the coffee, and others use only hot water. In this last method, the aroma and flavor remain identical, but the price becomes more expensive, due to the costs of the process.
